Most of the time, couples spend New Year's Eve together because when the clock strikes at midnight, they share a sweet kiss to celebrate the special occasion and to welcome a new year full of endless possibilities. However, this won't be the case for Blake Shelton and his wife Gwen Stefani as they will be in completely different cities; why is that?

According to Taste of Country, Shelton will be at the "Nashville's Big Bash" event along with Carly Pearce, Trace Adkins, Lynyrd, Skynyrd, Lainey Wilson, and many more.

American Songwriter reported that the Nashville event will be co-hosted by Elle King and Rachel Smith. It will be broadcast live from Nashville on CBS this coming December 31, 2023, at 7 p.m. ET. Fans will also get a chance to stream it via Paramount+

On the other hand, Gwen Stefani will be in Las Vegas, Nevada, for a completely different event.

In an interview with Access Hollywood, the "Cool" hitmaker explained that initially, she was going to attend the Nashville New Year's celebration, but Las Vegas called her at the last minute.

"Well, it's funny because I was going to be at his show, and then Vegas called and wanted me to be in Vegas," she noted.

The musician said it also happened last year and after that, she didn't want to perform in Sin City again to welcome the new year's.

"I was like, 'Eh, I'm gonna do it.' If you're gonna be working then I'm gonna be working - so I'm just gonna fly in and out it's gonna be awesome. I'm really looking forward to it," she said, recalling what she mentioned to her husband. (via People Magazine)

Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton Share Their New Year's Resolutions

Regarding Stefani's plans to do in 2024 as part of her resolution, the musician said she wanted to focus on her wellness na be more consistent. In addition, she also wanted to "keep on loving."

For the fans, the singer noted that she wants to release "a record," but details behind it are still unclear.

On the other hand, Shelton told Entertainment Tonight that he haven't managed to stop drinking yet as he had a hard time even cutting back, so it will be his resolution.

"I'll say it again right now - that's my New Year's resolution. To either cut back or stop drinking altogether. Let's just say I said it," he added.
