Lizzo has pleaded to a judge to keep certain documents sealed in her ongoing legal battle with three former dancers.

What Are In The Records?

The filings in question are said to hold crucial information about the case, such as sensitive correspondence and confidential details regarding employee compensation and contract negotiation, as well as the inclusion of third-party contact information.

To protect the parties involved, the singer's attorney made a compelling argument for sealing certain records.

These records, which include sections of Declarations supporting a Motion and attached exhibits, should be kept confidential to prevent any potential harm that could arise from their public disclosure.

To safeguard their proprietary business information and ensure third-party data privacy, the entertainer and her associates have expressed their intention to prevent the public disclosure of certain documents.

In the face of accusations made by three dancers, Lizzo encountered difficulties with the statements presented by her present staff in her defense.

According to the "Juice" hitmaker, these statements included sensitive business information and confidential discussions about employment negotiations.

In a recent development, a legal dispute emerged between three talented dancers, Arianna Davis, Noelle Rodriguez, and Crystal Williams, and prominent artist Lizzo and her dance captain, Shirlene Quigley.

Over two years, from 2021 to 2023, the dancers had been an integral part of Lizzo's team.

With a legal battle unfolding, the dancers brought forward allegations against Lizzo, alleging that she exerted pressure on them to participate in explicit performances both in Amsterdam and Paris.

According to their claims, the singer instructed them to engage with the performers in ways that made them uneasy and uncomfortable.

The Accusations

Furthermore, the dancers accused Lizzo of being a demanding employer who consistently found fault with their appearances.

In a fresh account, Davis, Rodriguez, and Williams voiced their concerns about the singer's dance captain, Quigley.

Allegedly, Quigley was known for being vocal about her religious beliefs and would often try to convert anyone she encountered, regardless of their objections.

According to Davis, Quigley persistently brought up the topic of Davis' virginity even after being informed about it. This led the dancers to file a lawsuit against Quigley, citing both religious and sexual harassment.

In response to the lawsuit, Lizzo and Quigley firmly refuted all allegations against them.

To support her defense, the renowned singer submitted sworn statements from 18 individuals who were part of her touring company.

In the words of a dancer, it is baffling to claim that going to Bananenbar is essential for maintaining a job dancing with Lizzo.

Alaini Walker, a fellow dancer, expressed her thoughts on her time working with Lizzo, stating that she did not encounter any instances of body shaming during their tour.

Having faced a range of discriminatory experiences, such as racial discrimination, sexual harassment, and body shaming within the industry, Walker found solace in the fact that her time with the singer felt like a refreshing departure from the negativity she had previously experienced.
