It is safe to say that Mariah Carey is one of the biggest modern icons of Christmas on the planet. As early as September in some countries like the Philippines, Carey's "All I Want For Christmas" starts to have an uptick in streaming activity.

This is why it is no surprise to many that Mariah Carey's perennial holiday hit could shatter records during the holidays!

Mariah Carey Breaks Single-Day Spotify Streaming Record For 'All I Want For Christmas'

Chart Data reported that Mariah Carey has officially crushed her Single-Day streaming record on Spotify for "All I Want For Christmas."

On Dec. 24, 2023, was streamed more than 23.7 million times globally. She bested her 2022 record of 21.2 million streams last year on the same day.

Carey reportedly gained more listenership year after year since 2020 when it hit 17.2 million streams on Christmas Eve. (via HotNewHipHop)

While Carey couldn't be officially called the "Queen of Christmas" because of trademark and licensing issues, she's unofficially the modern Queen of Christmas for many!

To celebrate the Holidays, Carey brought out her children in a hilarious bit. The kids, Monroe and Moroccan, complained about why their mother had to sing the same song over and over again, and why they had to be with her every time she sang the song.

"It's just being festive... It's not every - ," Carey said, before breaking out on the song. Her kids immediately stormed off the camera to let her shine on her own.

Mariah Carey 'All I Want For Christmas Is You'

In 2021, Mariah Carey spoke to RevoltTV in celebration of the song's 1 billion streams.

"It's an amazing thing, and I'm very thankful. I can't believe this song I wrote so long ago when I first started," she said at the time. "Christmas songs take a while to permeate the culture, you know what I mean? It's an honor and honestly, it's all because of my fans. Even people who aren't necessarily my fans, they're just like, 'Whatever, we like that song.' It's a huge honor and I'm thankful for all of it. The billion streams, the diamond award, all of it."

As of 2023, the song has already amassed 1.7 billion streams.
