The Grammy Awards is one of the most competitive award-giving bodies and ceremonies in the music industry. Organized by The Recording Academy, the Grammy Awards is hailed as "Music's Biggest Night" as the biggest names in the music scene attend the show to celebrate other's achievements in music and entertainment.

Its top prize, the Grammy Award for Album of the Year, is one of the most coveted awards an album can receive to gratify the producers and artists' hard work on creating such a spectacular record.

Taylor Swift's Album of the Year Grammys

To date, only three people, all engineers, have scored the most Grammy Awards from this category. Master engineer Tom Coyne, Şerban Ghenea, John Hanes, all have four Album of the Year Grammys. Next in line with three Album of the Year Grammys are Bob Ludwig, Tom Elhmhirst, Mike Piersante (engineers); Ryan Tedder, Phil Ramone, Daniel Lanois, David Foster (record producers); Paul Simon, Stevie Wonder, Frank Sinatra, and Taylor Swift (performers).

At the 2024 Grammy Awards, Taylor Swift has been nominated for "Midnights," her twelfth original album, excluding the re-recordings, has been nominated for the Grammy Award for Album of the Year. She has since been nominated five times - "Red," "Evermore," "1989," "Folklore, "Fearless" - she won the award on the latter three albums.

Now, to become the first woman and performer to have four Album of the Year Grammys, Taylor Swift must be able to beat seven other nominees for the 2024 Grammy Awards.

Taylor Swift Have To Beat These Artist To Win Her Fourth Album of The Year Grammy

The 2024 Grammy Awards are packed with heavy hitters. Among the nominated artists this year, one has already won the award, and six have already been nominated in the past.

The only nominee this year on the group that hasn't been nominated in the past is Boygenius as they only released their debut album this year, "The Record."

Jon Batiste's "World Music Radio" is a formidable opponent for Swift, as he surprised everyone in 2021 by taking home the top prize with "We Are." Janelle Monae's "The Age of Pleasure" might be a dark horse from the pack and might pull a Batiste like in 2021.

While Olivia Rodrigo's "Guts," Miley Cyrus' "Endless Summer Vacation," and Lana Del Rey's "Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd" are also good picks, it seemed to have less of a chance of winning than the others.

However, SZA's sophomore record "SOS" seemed to be the growing consensus of various publications, considering that they think they deserve to win the coveted Grammy Award for Album of the Year.

Can Taylor Swift Beat SZA for Album of the Year Grammy?

The Grammy voters have since been erratic and unpredictable in choosing the winner. Contrary to popular opinion, critical acclaim, chart placement, and commercial success doesn't necessarily guarantee victory in any Grammy category, let alone the Album of the Year award.

However, it could be noted that the Grammys have also been "generous" especially for someone like Taylor Swift who's on the cusp of breaking an important milestone and on the verge of shattering another glass ceiling.
