In an upcoming episode of the "Smartless" podcast, scheduled for release on January 7, she revealed her plans to release one final album before gracefully exiting the music industry.

No More Music Forever?

Reflecting on her journey, Selena Gomez expressed her initial delight in making music and the joy of touring.

According to E News, the "Come and Get It" singer said, "But I was doing my TV show ["Wizards of Waverly Place"] at the same time, and I just found it really fun, so I just kept going."

Selena remembered, "But the older I get, the more I'm kind of like, 'I would like to find something just to settle on.'"

She added, "I do feel like I have one more album in me, but I would probably choose acting. I am going to want to chill because I'm tired."

Since her solo debut with the album "Stars Dance" in 2013, the talented 31-year-old artist has released three more albums.

In 2020, the artist, who first rose to fame in the Disney realm, treated fans to her latest project titled "Rare."

Selena Gomez's musical achievements have been remarkable, yet she has not embarked on a tour since her "Revival" tour in 2016.

During that period, the artist behind the famous song "Lose You to Love Me" delighted fans with 55 live performances.

However, her close companion later called this period a "moment of emotional turmoil."

Mental Break

In the documentary "My Mind and Me" on Apple TV+, Selena's ex-assistant, Theresa, revealed a shocking statement made by the singer.

"And I'm like, 'Wait, what?'" Theresa said. "It was one of those moments where you look in her eyes, and there's nothing there. It was just pitch black. It's so scary."

"You're like, 'F-k this. This needs to end. We need to go home.'"

After the tour, Selena discovered that she had bipolar disorder and decided to seek help at a mental health facility for treatment. Following a much-needed mental health break, she sought treatment again two years later.

From the moment she embarked on her journey of seeking treatment, her life took a transformative turn, and she started to be an advocate for mental health. Selena Gomez also spoke at the mental health forum at the White House in May 2022.
