For those of you wondering if Katy Perry and Russell Brand are back together, you may as well give up hope. A reunion is definitely not likely after the British comedian dissed his former wife on stage. His recent jabs come before the release date for her new album, PRISM.

The controversy stems from a recent stand-up performance that Russell delivered in London. During the set, he offered up the following joke to his adoring fans, telling them:

"When I got divorced, I considered being a monk. When you're a monk, you're not allowed to have sex with anyone. When you're married, it's one person. That's one more than a monk. It's not that different. I'd be having sex thinking, 'Think of anyone, anyone else.'"

Brand may be a funny guy, but he's absolutely not a classy guy. This isn't the first time he snubbed his ex, either.

When appearing on The Howard Stern Show earlier in the year, he kept things civil but didn't shy away from certain personal matters. For example, the bad boy comic told the radio legend that he was left feeling sexually unfulfilled from his marital partner.

Katy, on the other hand, has refrained from putting down her ex...in a similar manner. She is probably too focused on her upcoming album, PRISM.

The singer/songwriter has officially announced an October release date for Prism. You can pick up a copy of her album on October 22, 2013.

She made her announcement in an atypical manner--An 18-wheeler truck has been painted solid gold with giant letters reading "Katy Perry. Prism. October 22." printed on the side.

This comes as a welcome surprise to fans who have been clamoring for a new release. Perry's last album, Teenage Dream, came out way back in 2010.
