A$AP Rocky and A$AP Relli's friendship came to an abrupt halt when the former allegedly pulled a semi-automatic handgun and shot at the latter in 2021.

According to reports, Relli, born Terell Ephron, accused the "Praise the Lord" rapper of shooting him "without provocation, warning, or any justification."

Relli is now suing Rocky for assault, battery, and emotional distress; on the other hand, Rocky feels no distress whatsoever--not even when the judge ruled that there was sufficient evidence for him to stand trial.

Rocky, born Rakim Mayers, pleaded not guilty, and in fact, he was described as being "cool as a cucumber" ahead of the trial by his defense attorney, Joe Tacopina.

A$AP Rocky Pleads Not Guilty

The "Am I Dreaming" rapper's attorney even noted that he could not wait for the trial to wrap up so that he finally clear his name and "start enjoying his family"-Rihanna, and their two songs, RZA and Riot.

"Defendant generally denies each and every allegation of the complaint, and specifically denies that Plaintiff has been damaged in any amount or in any way as a result of any act or omission of answering defendant," read Tacopina's response to the civil complaint Relli filed.

"The injuries and/or damages complained of in the complaint, if any, were caused solely, directly and proximately by the negligent and/or intentional acts or omissions of person other than answering defendant."

According to reports, if he is convicted on all charges, Rocky could serve up to 24 years in prison.

A$AP Relli Accuses A$AP Rocky of Shooting Him

Before the lawsuit, Rocky and Relli were good friends; they were part of the A$AP Mob, a hip-hop collective.

"We were really cool. We were chill all the time," Relli said about the start of their relationship; he did note, however, that Rocky became "big-headed" after gaining solo success.

Their friendship soured when Rocky allegedly bad-mouthed him to another friend; "Truthfully, it felt good. I was mentally preparing myself to leave and don't need that stigma or type of people. [Rocky] was never going to help."

"Rocky turned around and shot at me," Relli narrated the events that took place on the night he was shot. "It all looked like a movie."
