Teyana Taylor Accuses Iman Shumpert of Being Under the Influence While Taking Care of Their Children

Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert are currently in the middle of a divorce and the singer recently claimed that her estranged husband had been doing inappropriate things while he was taking care of their children; what happened?

According to court documents obtained by a news outlet, the musician claimed that the NBA star didn't do well in taking care of their two daughters as he allegedly smoked marijuana and even being under the influence while the children were staying with him.

In addition, the 33-year-old singer noted that her ex-partner failed to feed their children while they were in their family home.

Taylor's allegations didn't stop there as she also accused Shumpert of placing their two kids alone in a rideshare and dropped them off an arena while he had a separate driver take him into the venue. (via Page Six)

Additionally, the documents stated that the NBA player allegedly "consistently demonstrates a clear disregard for the safety of the minor children."

Teyana Taylor Files for Divorce

The recent news comes a few months after Teyana Taylor filed for divorce from her now-estranged husband seven years after they got married.

In early reports, the singer accused the athlete of being jealous in their relationship, insecure of her success, and being emotionally abusive.

Taylor further alleged that her ex-partner treated her "cruelly" and even displayed "extreme narcissistic behavior" throughout their marriage.

One of the main reasons why the pair decided to separate was Taylor receiving text messages from Shumpert about her career as a singer.

The former NBA star reportedly became mad to the point that the singer "intentionally dim her light" for them to have peaceful relationship.

Taylor is seeking full custody of their two kids.

Teyana Taylor Announces Split From Iman Shumpert

Prior to their divorce, Taylor confirmed on social media that she and Shumpert were parting ways.

At the time of the announcement, the singer said they had already split for a while and she clarified that infidelity was not the reason why they broke up.

She also noted that both of them are still best of friends and "are one hell of a team" when it comes to taking care of their kids.

As of this writing, neither of the two stars released a statement about their divorce on social media.
