Esteemed artist Julia Holter recently announced her latest project, "Something in the Room She Moves." The forthcoming album promises a transcendent exploration of sound and emotion, inviting listeners into a meticulously crafted sonic universe.

Julia Holter is an American singer, songwriter, and composer known for her avant-garde and experimental pop music. She has released several critically acclaimed albums, including "Loud City Song" and "Have You in My Wilderness." Holter's work often incorporates elements of ambient, electronic, and classical music.

Holter studied composition at the University of Michigan's School of Music, Theatre & Dance. Julia Holter's music is characterized by intricate arrangements, poetic lyrics, and her versatile vocal style. She has gained recognition for pushing boundaries within the indie and experimental music scenes. As reported by Pitchfork, the album will be released March 22 via Domino. The album features the recently shared videos for "Spinning" and the previous single "Sun Girl."  Philip Sherburne's  review on Pitchfork describes the former as "heart-fluttering, free-associative chamber pop." Sherburne writes "Julia Holter's "Spinning" is a love song that feels like new love itself, folding infatuation's dizziness right into its unsteady movements. The drums weave with an agreeably drunken lurch; the synths are radiant; little eruptions of jazz woodwinds slip out like quickened breath."

According to The Fader, Julia Holter's 2024 tour for "Something in the Room She Moves" will begin on May 3 at El Rey in Los Angeles, followed by performances in cities including San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago, New York, and Atlanta, concluding on May 22. The tour covers a diverse range of venues across the United States and Canada.
