Although he has been on the down low for quite some time already, Harry Styles is still popular among producers and directors in the film industry.

The Grammy-winning singer is being considered for a very iconic character in the "Mean Girls" movie franchise.

Harry Styles in 'Mean Girls'?

In a conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, "Mean Girls" directors Samantha Jayne and Arturo Perez Jr. revealed that Harry Styles was considered at one point to be Glen Coco.

"There are certain iconic lines where we would joke that there would be riots in the streets if it wasn't in there," they shared. "Like 'You go, Glen Coco!' Give the people what they want. Give me what I want! But when we were like, 'Who's Glen Coco?'"

Perez then pressed on the question, "I remember us going, could we ask, like, Harry Styles?" with Jayne saying, "We were like Harry Styles could be Glen Coco!"

However, they came to a conclusion that Glen Coco could just be a fourth wall break.

"Then we were like, hold on, we love to break the fourth wall: What if we are all Glen Coco? So, after 20 years, we can all feel like Glen Coco."

Eventually, they proceeded with the latter option, saying that the line was actually delivered to the camera/audience, breaking the fourth wall.

Should Styles be considered for the actual role, it would have been a huge secret to keep for the cast and the crew, especially how big Styles is today.

Contrary to popular belief, the 2024 movie was based on the Broadway musical of the same name, and not on the 2004 film itself. Although the new film is still based on the original material, the Broadway musical featured several changes that would probably shock fans who weren't able to watch the musical on Broadway.
