Blackpink Jennie's 2024 is off to a good start. It's so good people cannot help but pit her aginst another Blackpink member, Lisa.

The solo single "One of the Girls" by Jennie is back on top of Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, which ranks the most-listened to hip-hop, R&B, or rap songs in the United States.

The Weeknd-led song, which lists Lily Rose Depp as another featured performer, soars to a new high peak at No. 20 in this period. That is undoubtedly remarkable, but what really makes Jennie history is how long the cut has been lasting.

"One of the Girls" has now spent six weeks on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart as of this period. While that may not seem like a long period, it's really one of the longest stays ever when focusing just on songs by or featuring South Korean artists.

Among songs by South Korean singers, "One of the Girls" now has the second-longest run ever on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs list. Currently, Jennie is paired with Lisa, her bandmate from Blackpink, whose solo single "Money" also stayed on the count for six frames.

While they may now have spent the same amount of time on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, the achievements of "Money" and "One of the Girls" are actually quite different.

In 2021, Lisa's song "Money" entered the rankings, marking a significant milestone for South Korean stars of the era. She was the first Asian woman to reach the milestone when that breakthrough hit.

To Jennie's credit, it appears that her song has the potential to rank among the most popular South Korean artist releases in Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart history. It won't take many days for "One of the Girls" to become the longest-running hit by a female South Korean artist on the list, as it continues to rise week after week.

Additionally, it is the highest-rising among Asian women, with Jennie's single reaching its peak at No. 20, well surpassing "Money's" high point of No. 36. Currently, Skull is the South Korean artist with the longest-running hit single on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

In 2007, he achieved a historic victory with the song "Boom Di Boom Di." The song remained at the top for ten weeks, however at the time, there were one hundred positions in the chart. "Boom Di Boom Di" would not even chart these days because it never made it over No. 80.
