Barbra Streisand has been around forever it seems but it is still hard for us to believe that she hasn't been a late-night guest on anyone's couch in over 50 years! That's a ridiculously long time and apparently Streisand agrees because last night Jimmy Fallon announced that the legend will make an appearance on 'The Tonight Show' on Sept. 15th.

The timing couldn't possibly be better as Streisand's new album, Partners, will be released on Sept. 16th. This album is being hotly anticipated by the songstress' fans because it includes a series of duets with the likes of Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel and Blake Shelton. Since Streisand has opted to always played by her own rules rather than the music industry's it's kind of interesting that she has decided to perform on 'The Tonight Show' don't you think?

The show has been a ratings bonanza ever since Fallon took over back in February and anyone who is anybody in Hollywood has moved mountains to book a few moments to chat with the late-night host because it is arguably the best publicity around. Perhaps Streisand has put aside some of her old ways of doing things in favor of promoting the heck out of Partners and that means milking this return to late-night television for all its' worth. Can you imagine her fans' reactions if she were to play a game with Fallon?

Fifty years is such a long time. Don't you wonder what it has been that has kept Streisand away for so long? Will you be tuning in on Sept. 15th to watch Streisand in action on 'The Tonight Show'?
