Ryan Adams and Mandy Moore are one of the most unexpected and peculiar celebrity couples, and though it would seem tempting to ask them about their marriage, this is apparently off-limits. An Australian radio show host learned this the hard way recently, when Adams abruptly hung up on him during a phone interview after being asked twice about his marriage to Moore, Buzzfeed reports.

"I just don't share at all about my private life," Adams told a Melbourne-based radio host. However, after the topic was brought up again, Adams simply hung up, though he later claimed on Twitter later that day that he had been disconnected.

"OK, so I just hung up 'cause I was on the radio getting asked about my wife," Adams told Buzzfeed about the incident. "I was really nice about it the first time, and I'm sorry, but I won't repeat myself. The deal is this: I'm a private person and I'll be a gentleman and say I'm not talking about my marriage ever. I'll never talk about it. Ever."

Adams elaborates about what he will and will not discuss, saying, "I'll talk about rescue cats for a few seconds. But even there I don't want to talk about my pets. If I have children I'm not going to discuss that with anyone ever. I'll suggest it once and then I'm going to hang up."

So take note: if you're going to interview Ryan Adams, talk to him about his music. He's had two releases in the past few weeks: his self-titled album, and his hardcore punk EP 1984.
