The news on Tuesday that Gwen Stefani will be headlining Coachella 2024 alongside her bandmates sent No Doubt fans into a frenzy.

The singer, who has built a prosperous solo career, revealed the news on Instagram when she posted the lineup for this year's festivals to her Story.

Coachella Valley in California will host a three-day, two-weekend music festival featuring performances by Lana Del Rey, Doja Cat, and Tyler, The Creator.

A humorous Zoom call video featuring Gwen, guitarist Tom Dumont, bassist Tony Kanal, and drummer Adrian Young was posted on social media to announce the news of the reunion.

The rock group's last show was in 2015, over ten years ago.

Although No Doubt was founded in Anaheim, California, in 1986, their self-titled debut album wasn't released until 1992.

The late John Spence, the band's original lead vocalist, and Gwen's brother Eric Stefani, a keyboardist, formed it.

Gwen contributed background vocals in the interim.

It wasn't until Spence's replacement Alan Meade left in 1987 that she took center stage in the band. Kanal took over as bassist Chris Leal at an early stage, but Dumont and Young did not take over as guitarist and drummer, respectively, until 1988. 1994 saw Eric depart from the band.

The debut song, "Just A Girl," from the band's third studio album Tragic Kingdom (1995), was crucial to their mainstream popularity.

When No Doubt announced their first break in 2004, it startled fans after five albums and two Grammy awards. With the release of her first solo single, Love. Angel. Music. Baby., Gwen shot to pop superstar status.

She proceeded to put out three more albums; You Make It Feel Like Christmas is her most recent release.

Gwen has sold over 60 million records globally during the course of her two decades-long career.

She has received 18 nominations in all and has won three Grammy awards. She made her mark in the fashion industry in 2003 when she launched L.A.M.B., and she most recently made her debut in the beauty industry when her makeup line GXVE was introduced at Sephora. Gwen, Tom, Tony, and Adrian got back together to create their sixth and most recent studio album, Push and Shove (2012), after an eight-year break.

No Doubt has sold more than 33 million records as a group. This will be Lana Del Rey's first time headlining Coachella; she last appeared there ten years ago in 2014, when she released her hit song Summertime Sadness.

Doja Cat will perform at Coachella for the third time, but this will be her first year as the main act.

Other well-known performers at Coachella 2024 are Grimes, Jon Batiste, Lil Yachty, Ice Spice, Lil Uzi Vert, J Balvin, Sabrina Carpenter, Bebe Rexha, and Renee Rapp.

An annual music and arts event known as Coachella Valley Music and Arts event, or simply Coachella, attracts thousands of celebrities, influencers, fans, and music enthusiasts from all over the world in addition to some of the biggest acts in the business.
