Carson Daly threw hilarious tirades at Blake Shelton after leaving "The Voice."

The singing reality competition television series tapped Carson to host the show since Season 1, during which Shelton also became a coach until his exit in Season 23.

Carson Daly Targets Blake Shelton

On Wednesday, the hosts launched the POPStart by sharing a selfie of themselves while on the plaza. The snap featured Daly, Hoda Kotb, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker and Craig Melvin.

A few moments later, Daly jokingly shared that the presenters were happy that Shelton left "The Voice," which Kobt and Guthrie dismissed.

"He's been on it too long," Carson quipped. "He's not funny anymore."

Guthrie said Daly's statement was "drive-by shooting" for Shelton, before the latter greeted the former "The Voice" coach with a good morning while looking directly at the camera.

Daly and Shelton's friendship has been full of digs, as the pals have continuously thrown digs at each other on and off the camera.

Why Did Blake Shelton Leave "The Voice"?

The "God Gave Me You" hitmaker told Daly in an episode of "Today" that he started thinking about leaving as early as 2020 - a year before he married Gwen Stefani.

"I think I was close to calling it a day right when COVID hit," he said. "And then, because of COVID, I didn't want to walk away from the show and leave everybody in a bind. I mean, this show changed my life. I'll stay here until the world kind of gets back to normal again."

Shelton reportedly made the decision as he wanted to focus on his family and "live some life," which were only possible if he gave up his coaching stint.

He started his coaching stint in 2011 with Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera and CeeLo Green, and he soon met his now-wife, Gwen Stefani, after she joined them in 2014.

Although Shelton left the show for good, he clarified to People that he would not leave the music industry and that he does not have plans to retire.

Since exiting the show, Shelton has been busy with his new business ventures. Still, he reportedly keeps in mind how "The Voice" changed his life.
