MTV "Unplugged" is back giving a chance for artists who have not yet experienced to be part of this show and perform their pieces in acoustic style. Viewers have witnessed new artists and even legends performing live on their concerts and MTV gave them a way to see them perform at the comforts of their home. That is actually the reason why MTV "Unplugged" which started in 1989 up to 2009, is something to watch out for during those times.

The first decade of the show was a potential ground for music artists to perform and showcase their talents as it airs in a regular schedule, however, close to its end in 2009; it did not stay that way. MTV "Unplugged" was rarely seen daily in a regular TV program until it reached to a point that it can only be accessed online. RollingStone reports that now is the chance for this generation to experience the show and bring back the moments of "Unplugged", as said by MTV's SVP of Music and Executive in Charge of Music for Unplugged, Armani Duncan.

With this inspiration, the first performer might not remember the first decades of MTV "Unplugged", as he was just born in those years, thus he is a perfect candidate to draw the attention of younger viewers. It is already confirmed by a report from Cosmopolitan, that Shawn Mendes will do the first acoustic act for MTV "Unplugged" reboot. The 19-year old artist popular in Vine and has released hit singles like "Stitches," "Mercy," and "Treat You Better" will shoot the show in Los Angeles' Theater at Ace Hotel.

MTV has taught of the idea to bring back the classic show since last year and it also has plans to revive the show "Total Request Live." Previously hosted by Carson Daly, "Total Request Live" will air on October 2 while MTV "Unplugged" reboot airs on September 8.
