Wearing a hoodie and sunglasses, Adam Sandler goes to a subway in New York to perform a medley of his original songs.

On Wednesday, Feb. 28, the comedy actor was spotted by the crowd in a surprise concert just below Time Square on the platform leading to the N/Q/W/R train. The actor tried to be anonymous by hiding his face but the audience, who probably grew up watching his movies, immediately recognized his voice and captured the performance on their smartphones.

TMZ was able to acquire a video recording of the performance.

The 51-year-old reportedly performed a medley of original songs that oddly includes one about accidentally walking in on his parents having sex.

Prior to his performance, he warned the crowd: "Scary s*** is coming."

Sandler's subway concert was a part of his show for Comic Strip Live, The Comic's Comic revealed. The actor has been filming himself performing onstage in several locations, including New York and Los Angeles for an upcoming Netflix special.

Adam Sandler's 'The Best Of'

The bizarre performance also comes days after Netflix released a new trailer for an upcoming original movie The Week Of. The comedy movie centers around two family that meets for the first time for the wedding of their offsprings.

"The Week Of tells the story of a devoted, middle-class father determined to pay for his daughter's wedding despite the prodding of the wealthier father of the groom," reads the synopsis. "A series of calamities forces the dads (and their families) to come together and endure the longest week of their lives."

The movie also stars Chris Rock and Steve Buscemi. Sandler himself co-wrote and executive produced the film and was directed by Robert Smigel.

The Best Of will be released on April 27 exclusively on Netflix.

Adam Sandler's Netflix Deal

While Sandler's recent big-screen offerings did not make as much noise at the box office as they often had in the past, the comedian has found a new partner in Netflix. The streaming service signed with Sandler's Happy Madison Productions in 2014 that spawned The Ridiculous 6 and The Do-Over.

Netflix claims that both titles became the most-watched original movies on the platform.

"Love working with Netflix and collaborating with them," he said in a statement. "I love how passionate they are about making movies and getting them out there for the whole world to see. They've made me feel like family and I can't thank them enough for their support."

Sandler also appeared in The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected) and Sandy Wexler.
