  • Jack White reveals 'Lazaretto' tracklist, drops studio version of title track [LISTEN]

    Earlier today, we posted about Jack White's Record Store Day "Lazaretto" release, a.k.a The World's Fastest Relesed Record. Now he's dropped the studio version of the single and has revealed the album's tracklist. The 11-track Lazaretto, White's second solo album and follow-up to 2012's Blunderbuss, is due out June 10 via Third Man Records.     Tell us if you've heard this one before: Internet radio and music streaming services are looking for ways to avoid paying royalties. Turns out that Pandora is a little more hardcore than its competition and isn't paying for anything recorded pre-1972. The service argues that records from that era aren't subject to federal copyright laws, and therefore Pandora's in the right. Various recording labels are coming together to sue the internet radio service in the New York State Supreme Court.
  • Miley Cyrus Bangerz Tour rescheduled following hospitalizations, cancelled shows [NEW SCHEDULE]

    Miley Cyrus may be a lot of things, but she's certainly no quitter. Earlier this month, the "Adore You" singer had to cancel the rest of her Bangerz Tour after having a serious allergic reaction to sinus medication. But, instead of out-and-out abandoning tens of thousands of her Smilers, she has rescheduled seven shows and added two new tour dates.
  • White House 'won't be commenting' on petition to deport Justin Bieber

    A petition on the White Houses' website to deport Justin Bieber back to Canada, following his series of run-ins with police, gained more than 250,000 signatures. This required a response from President Obama's administration, who finally issued its "decision" on Saturday.
  • Jack White drops World's Fastest Released Record, 'Lazaretto' [LISTEN]

    Jack White, the modern-day Willy Wonka of music, recorded The World's Fastest Released Record as promised on Record Store Day. The title track off his upcoming solo album, Lazaretto, was recorded live, mastered, pressed and sold in in just three hours and 21 minutes at White's Third Man Records headquarters in Nashville.

    More and more summer music festivals seem to be popping up all across the world, but a few outliers are shutting down for 2014. One example is the Oxegen festival in the County Kildare on the outskirts of Dublin, which won't take place for the second time since 2012.

    Rubin "Hurricane" Carter, the wrongfully imprisoned boxer who inspired Bob Dylan's 1975 song "Hurricane," died Sunday morning at the age of 76. As the New York Times reports, Carter had been suffering from prostate cancer and died in his sleep at his home in Toronto.

    Neil Young's covers album, which was announced earlier during 2014, was actually made available on the Friday before Record Store Day.
