Chatters started ahead of the highly anticipated event, although previous reports already confirmed that Usher was tapped to headline this year's halftime show. Others suggested Swift would either have her solo performance or make a cameo, but could the singer truly make it?

Amid the buzz, TMZ confirmed that Swift would not appear at the Super Bowl Halftime Show for a solo performance or even a cameo. Instead, Usher will fully take control of the stage.
Previously, the Daily Mail said the "Look What You Made Me Do" singer was "in no rush" to do the halftime show, especially since her hands had been full over the past few months.
"Taylor is busy with her current tour, she has zero time to prepare a Super Bowl show, she will do it eventually, but she is in no rush at all to do it in Vegas or do it in the next couple of years," a source said.
The insider added that Swift "knows she is at her peak in her career." For now, she reportedly wants to focus on her current tour and re-recording her albums while also giving herself time to create new music.
The "Anti-Hero" singer is reportedly not closing her doors for a Super Bowl appearance in the future, but she reportedly wants to do it in the future instead since it is not currently a "defining moment" for her.
"Taylor is well aware of how she wants her career to develop and will do things her way and her way only and will not rush into something she doesn't want to do just to do it and that includes the Super Bowl," the source continued.
As for her appearance only to support her beau, Travis Kelce, multiple news outlets shared how she could make it to Las Vegas when she has a scheduled performance in Tokyo, Japan, less than 24 hours before the show.
For what it's worth, Swift will resume her Eras Tour in February, while the Super Bowl 2024 will be held on February 11. She must the 12+ hour flight from Asia to North America to make it to the Super Bowl LVIII and personally support her boyfriend.
