Killer Mike had a very successful weekend in terms of his career as he won three Grammys during the pre-televised ceremony, but there was one problem; he was arrested just an hour after he received the awards. More recently, new details about the incident emerged.

According to an insider who spoke with Billboard, the rapper reportedly had an argument with a Grammy Awards security personnel as he was being asked for his credentials to enter the venue.

It happened outside of the Peacock Theater, the venue where the pre-show was held. The incident reportedly took place before the main televised ceremony was even aired.

Just an hour after receiving the awards, the rapper went outside a secured area of the venue, then he attempted to enter again but this time, he was accompanied with other people.

The source noted that the musician was immediately stopped by security to see his access credentials.

Killer Mike Reportedly Shoved a Female Private Security Official

After he was asked for his access credentials, the rapper reportdly shoved a female private security official who was blocking him to enter the premises of the Peacock Theater.

The Los Angeles Police Department immediately took action and responded to the incident. Killer Mike was then placed in handcuffs as the person he reportedly shoved wanted to press charges against him.

In a statement by the authorities, they said, "The suspect was placed under arrest and was transported to LAPD Central Division."

He was reportedly charged with one count of misdemeanor battery and was released without bail.

Killer Mike Unbothered Despite Being Arrested?

The following day, February 5, 2024, the rapper appeared on V103's Big Tigger Morning Show where he was asked about what happened during the incident.

It appeared that the musician was unbothered with his arrest the night prior as he simply replied, "I won a Grammy... We party all night. Shout out to my record label. Ain't nothing had happened, man. But we winners. That's it."

The host further asked him why he left the venue and attempted to get in again, he only answered: "Didn't I look good? I was fresh. All black man... Then I went and picked up all the gold... We hit a speed bump and then we hit back to the party."
