AC/DC fans were sent into a frenzy when the group teased something on social media which hinted that they might return to perform on the big stage again.

According to Billboard, the legendary Australian band's social media profiles feature a video their iconic lightning bolt logo and a countdown to a snippet of the song "Are You Ready" from their album "The Razors Edge" released in 1990.

The first clip only featured the number five and it appeared that the group will drop more countdown videos in the coming days before revealing their next move.

As of this writing, AC/DC has yet to share their plans for this year and fans should wait for them to announce something to find out their next project, but many people believe that they will reunite for a comeback tour as they already took the stage in October 2023 for the PowerTrip festival in California, which marked their first performance in over seven years.

It's worth noting that in November 2023, a German mayor seemingly spoiled the group's plans that they will perform at the Olympic Stadium in Munich on June 12, 2024, but the band did not confirm whether it's true or not.

Why Did AC/DC Stop Performing?

Although AC/DC has been one of the most iconic band in the world, the group opted to stop touring after September 2016 following their 79-date "Rock or Bust" series of concerts which took place in different cities around the world.

Unfortunately, Brian Johnson had problems with hearing and he followed doctor's orders to stop performing songs live.

Back in October 2023, Cliff Williams came out of retirement while Matt Laug filled in on drums for Phil Rudd. In addition, Angus and Stevie Young performed using the guitar again which made them reunite at Power Trip.

AC/DC Power Trip Festival

Per the outlet, AC/DC took the stage of Power Trip festival after Judas Priest's set. They went on to shock people with a 25-song set beginning at around 9:45 p.m. until midnight.

They opened their performance with the song "If you Want Blood (You Got It)" for the first time ever.

Other songs included in their setlist are "Demon Fire," "Thunderstruck," "Shot in the Dark," and many more.

In other updates, the group's latest album, "Power Up," was released in 2020.
