Renowned musician Nitin Sawhney recently revealed he underwent emergency surgery after experiencing a sudden heart attack.
Following a series of health complications, the 59-year-old artist suspended several performances.

Nitin Sawhney recently disclosed he underwent urgent surgery after a heart attack.
The artist, honored as a Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, CBE, during the New Year Honors of 2019 and the recipient of the Ivor Novello Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017, recently took to social media to share details of a frightening health ordeal he faced.
He first revealed on X, formerly Twitter, on March 4 that he was going to do something "major."
"Can't say what it is... but I'm about to go through something pretty major. Wish me luck."
The "Homelands" singer returned online on Wednesday to share additional details about his recent experience.
Kicking off his elaborate message on March 6, the famous producer and composer penned, "After much reflection, I've decided to explain myself regarding the post below... A few days ago, out of nowhere, I had a heart attack. Nuts."
He also went on to detail, "I was rushed to the hospital and the NHS put a stent in one of the arteries leading to my heart, after which I was kept in to await a similar operation (which I was referring to in my quoted post) on another artery. Both ops have gone well and the NHS were fantastic. I will need a third, bigger operation next month but one day at a time I reckon."
At first glance, Nitin's heart attack came as a shock, given his dedication to a healthy lifestyle.
He disclosed, "With a routine that includes weight training, kick-boxing, and a balanced diet, I never anticipated this. However, the doctor attributed it to a possible genetic predisposition. Being of British Asian descent increases the risk of cardiovascular issues or heart attacks."
"My family history speaks volumes - my father underwent a triple heart bypass, my mother survived two attacks, and three of my uncles experienced heart attacks, one of them tragically passing away instantly."

Recounting the experience of his heart attack, Nitin Sawhney vividly expressed, "The sensation is genuinely frightening. It's as if there's an immense pressure on your chest, a weight of 200kg pressing down, while your mind spins in disarray, fighting to stay alert."
"In my case, I completely blacked out, falling onto a glass ornament from a standing position, smashing the coffee table with my face as I collapsed into a pool of blood and broken shards, penetrating both cheeks, my nose and the area just beneath my eyes. Later a plastic surgeon had to carefully remove pieces of glass from my face with tweezers after 4 injections to my face."
In his latest update, the "Darling Boy" hitmaker shared his upcoming tour schedule for April, which will feature performances in Glasgow, Birmingham, Brighton, and London.
