"uHhH HuH.mp3" Success

His next endeavor comes after the release of "Let Me Update My Status," TisaKorean's most recent album, in March of last year.

THE FADER praised "uHhH HuH.mp3" for being "a sultry presence with a charged energy, "uHhH HuH.mp3" may prompt one or two memories, but it's built with a passion and care that makes it not just transportation or mere channeling, but a continuation," indicating the project's critical success.

"UHhH HuH.mp3" was featured also in The Herald's list of the "Top 2023 rap songs," and it was mentioned that Tisa Korean's infatuation with the rap scene of his childhood in the 2000s is really charming, drawing inspiration from the snappy and stylish rap of the past.

To appeal to his younger TikTok audience, Tisa modernizes the period of carefree and enjoyable rap. "uHhH HuH.mp3" was included in PITCH FORK's selection of the "100 Best Songs of 2023."

Originally trained as a dancer and DJ, Tisa Korean claims that he just began creating music in order to have a soundtrack that reflected his aesthetic. Like Lil B or ILoveMakonnen, his style of rap is best characterized as funny, and that's the vibe he wants to instill in his listeners.

TisaKorean's dancing videos on TikTok receive millions of views because they make hip-hop seem like a lot of fun. He shared with Rolling Stone in 2021 his favorite musical memory, which he attributed to Pharrell Williams and Jay-Z as a generational and genre-busting crossover: "When I seen the 'Frontin' ' video, I didn't know about Prince, honestly," Tisa explains of the Williams and N.E.R.D. hit. "So when I seen that 'Frontin' ' video, I didn't know that song was made for Prince."
