A report claiming that Reba McEntire labeled Taylor Swift "an entitled little brat" after the singer's performance at the 2024 Super Bowl in Las Vegas on February 11 has no grain of truth in it. McEntire said so herself.

It can be remembered that during the Super Bowl, Swift was at the game to support her boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, while  McEntire, 68, sang the national anthem prior to the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers game in Super Bowl LVIII.

Swift, 34, was in her box with pals as McEntire played, but she ultimately made it onto the field to congratulate Kelce after the Chiefs upset the 49ers in overtime.

Reba McEntire Denies Calling Taylor Swift a Brat

McEntire shared a screenshot of a Facebook post titled "America Loves Liberty" on Saturday, March 16, where alleged remarks regarding Swift's actions leading up to the Super Bowl can be read.

The article claimed that McEntire was "disappointed" to see Swift "laughing and drinking and making a mockery of the event" as McEntire performed the national anthem. However, the post misspelled McEntire's surname.

McEntire was subsequently cited as stating, "I let her have it afterward. She's an entitled little brat."

McEntire refuted ever uttering the remarks in the caption that accompanied her Instagram photo.

She wrote, "Please don't believe everything you see on the Internet," she wrote. "I did not say this."

Swift's achievements to the music industry were also acknowledged in the article by the country music icon.

"Taylor is a wonderful artist, strong role model and has done so much good for so many people and the music industry," McEntire said.

To the relief of McEntire, her followers were overwhelmingly supportive, with several stating that the purported quotation "doesn't even sound like something you would say."

Taylor Swift Good For NFL

Others added that it's impossible for McEntire to even say that because Swift was quite well-behaved during the event.

They said they had observed Swift "standing and respectfully holding her hand over her heart" when McEntire was performing, as well as the NFL broadcast moving over to her.

Mid-January saw the NFL reveal that McEntire would be making her Super Bowl debut.

This year's pre-game artists were Post Malone and Andra Day.

In a later interview with CBS Mornings, she disclosed that her boyfriend, Rex Linn, enthusiastically urged her to accept the invitation.

Conversely, Taylor Swift benefited NFL - there's no other way to say it. With a staggering 123 million people tuning in, Taylor's sheer presence at Allegiant Stadium guaranteed record viewership numbers.

Swift's potential to draw in non-football fans and a younger audience is acknowledged by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, who finds the prospect of increased advertising money especially appealing.
