B.G., popularly known for being one of the members of the rap group Hot Boys, just got released from prison months ago, but he has been arrested once again for reportedly violating his probation, which could potentially place him behind bars again; what happened?

According to Rolling Stone, the musician was arrested in Las Vegas in early March. The reason why authorities got ahold of him was due to his series of probation violations that are connected to his three-year supervised release.

Just last month, B.G. made a surprise appearance with Boosie at a concert in Las Vegas. His public appearance sparked concern among the police, as he reportedly didn't "obtain prior written approval... before entering self-employment" before the show. (via The Guardian)

In addition, he also violated a federal supervised release because Boosie was previously imprisoned on felony charges.

B.G. Arrested in Las Vegas

In addition to the legal issues mentioned above, his probation officer also had an issue with him recording an album with Gucci Mane, who was convicted on federal charges years ago.

A warrant of arrest was filed on March 21. At the time, B.G., one of the members of Hot Boys along with Lil Wayne, Turk, and Juvenile, was immediately placed under the custody of the authorities, but he was released soon after.

In addition, he will appear at a federal court in New Orleans, the same location where he was charged and convicted for his previous legal troubles.

Once the hearing takes place, a judge will determine whether his violations would be a part of the revocation of his probation or result in him returning to prison.

Why Did B.G. Spend Time in Prison?

The outlet noted that B.G., whose real name is Christopher Dorsey, spent 12 years of a 14-year sentence in prison.

The reason why he was imprisoned was because he pleaded guilty to federal weapons charges. He got arrested in 2009 along with two others for his initial charges.

At the time, he was stopped by police in New Orleans and found three guns, two of which were reported stolen, and a loaded magazine in his vehicle.

In addition, the car he was using at the time had been stolen from a rental car parking lot.
