Kylie Minogue surprised fans by announcing her upcoming music release following the success of her hit "Padam Padam," which revitalized her career in 2023.

At 55, the talented Australian singer-dancer is said to be creating her 17th studio album, promising an electrifying collection of dance tracks bound to captivate audiences worldwide.

The album Tension is also scheduled for a re-release. It features an array of new tracks to delight fans.

According to a source who spoke to The Sun, "Kylie has made it clear to her team this is no time to slow down. Plans are already in motion for the next two albums, one of which will be a repackage of Tension with additional songs."

They added, "As for the direction of album 17, it's in the early days, but a full-on dance album is in the works."

"The plan is to release the Tension repackage towards the end of the year, with probably up to five new tracks."

In a recent collaboration, Kylie teamed up with Joel Corry, a British DJ, at a studio in California.

Joel expressed his excitement about working with the iconic singer, referring to it as a great honor.

He revealed," Kylie absolutely smashed it last year. She has taken over the charts. I've loved the sound of the singles. They sound really fresh and current. She is pop royalty. It would be an honour to work with her'"

The "Can't Get You Out of My Head" singer relished a break from her Las Vegas residency. And is currently in Australia. With a month of free time ahead of her, she plans to recharge before gracing the US stage again on April 26.

Kylie Minogue's New Genre

In a recent interview with NME, Kylie Minogue hinted at the possibility of exploring indie folk music in her future projects.

She told the outlet at the 2024 BRIT Awards about her thoughts on the new genre before being honored with the Global Icon award.

Before her remarkable performance, the outlet also Kylie about her intriguing aspirations to explore fresh musical avenues, particularly in indie folk music.

In her contemplation of the recent artists she had been immersed in, Kylie shared, "I just listen to playlists of one song I like, which leads me down this trippy path. Who should I seek out tonight? Just putting it out there that indie pop folk is one of my happy places."

"I just love collaboration and stepping into different [genres]. Being malleable and seeing what's possible."
