Rebel Wilson has disclosed that her childhood dream was to become a rapper.

She had her own rapping group, in fact.

She also started the process of entering the music industry.

She was eventually given the chance, but she turned it down.

The frustrated rapper shared all these in her interview on The Kelly Clarkson Show.

Rebel Wilson Wanted to be a Rapper

During an interview on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the 44-year-old Australian diva, whose memoir contains shocking details about her encounter with 52-year-old British celebrity Sacha Baron Cohen, revealed that she and her sister had dreamed of becoming a rap group when they were younger.

Since that was extreme, we went by Sisterz with a Z. We essentially performed Kris Kross covers.

"So I learned all the lyrics from the cassette tape booklets and I'd just do it with my own beats," she added.

The Pitch Perfect star was even confident that she was going to be snapped up by a record label that if only she approached them.

So she did.

She pitched herself to those in the music business.

She said, "I did a photoshoot... I really thought I was gonna get signed, just in my backyard. We had no idea and I wrote to record labels and sent my little cassette off.'

The actress revealed that she even took the time to record her very own demo song "When Skeletons Rule The Earth."

Rebel Wilson's Rise as "Fat Amy"

The actress was eventually offered a recording deal after becoming well-known for her performance as "Fat Amy" in the television series Pitch Perfect, but she turned down the opportunity to pursue a career in acting.

In 2012, Pitch Perfect became an international sensation due to its humorous portrayal of an all-female a cappella club at a college level.

The film features an amazing music, excessive amounts of puke, and absurdly small-scale rivalry resolved by song and dance.

One of the most hilarious parts in Pitch Perfect is when Rebel Wilson's cocky Fat Amy joins The Barden Bellas, an a capella group, and befriends the reluctant lead character, Beca, played by Anna Kendrick.

The raunchiness, sarcasm, and feistiness that Fat Amy contributes to the group contrasts with the other Bellas' personalities. The fact that she can also really sing, because Rebel Wilson can sing, is a wonderful bonus.

During the Bellas' rendition of "Turn the Beat Around" during the Regionals competition sequence, she also steals the show with a memorable solo.
