FireHouse lead singer C.J. Snare has died. He was 64.

C.J.'s daughter, Heather Snare Brown, announced the heartbreaking news about the lead vocalist's death on Friday, April 5, through an Instagram post. She delivered the update as she admitted never thinking "this day would truly come."

Heather uploaded a carousel of photos on the platform and made the first one her current profile picture.

"On April 5th I lost a piece of me. I lost my Dad. I lost my best friend, my confidant, my Disney buddy, my rockstar, my greatest influence. I will miss him every single day," she wrote.

She added, "He was the strongest person I ever knew. Our family will never be the same without him. He was a shining light for so many people. He did things I could only ever imagine doing. He lived life to the absolute fullest. He worked hard, loved hard, and played hard. He touched the lives of millions."

Heather expressed how her dad had always made her proud and how he shared his love for music as a gift to her.

She currently serves as the lead vocalist for Audio Exchange.

In the same post, Heather remembered her father as a "gentle, compassionate, generous, driven, positive, intelligent, fun-loving man" who has taught her different things.

After the loss, she will reportedly think of C.J. all the time, especially when she picks up the microphone and performs on stage.

What Was C.J. Snare's Cause of Death?

Heather did not disclose C.J.'s cause of death, but multiple news outlets that reported his passing shared the reported health battles he faced.

The U.S. Sun cited a TMZ exclusive report, in which the latter outlet said C.J. died from a heart attack after his long battle with stage 4 colon cancer.

Following the confirmation, FireHouse penned an emotional Facebook post to remember the band's late member.

"CJ was was arguably one of the best vocal talents of a generation, touring the world with Firehouse non stop the past 34 years," the message read. "Our heartfelt condolences go out to the entire Snare family, Katherine Little, friends, and all our beloved fans all over the world."

The Snare family has yet to share the details of his funeral and memorial.
