Ty Dolla $ign felt disappointed when organizers removed him from the Coachella lineup due to rumors of negotiations for a performance before the release of his album with Kanye West.

The "Sucker for Pain" hitmaker was anticipating his presence in the 2024 lineup, as revealed by an inside source who spoke to The Sun.

As negotiations to secure his booking fell through, the source revealed that Ty Dolla $ign, whose real name is Tyrone William Griffin Jr., was enraged.

This happened while he was collaborating with West on his Vultures album after making controversial anti-Semitic remarks.

Ty Dolla $ign Out

Per the source, "Ty has been a guest for so many people and would have loved to have played Coachella, but he believes he's been canceled by association."

"The album has been so popular despite not being released on a label, but organizers Golden Voice did not want to deal with the headache of booking him or Kanye," the insider added.

"He was not impressed and has complained to friends about it as Coachella is a bucket-list gig for most artists and he'd been working his way up."

The existence of a formal contract remains uncertain.

Still, sources reveal that Golden Voice has a history of parting ways with performers, regardless of prior agreements, due to the presence of multiple exclusivity clauses.

One stipulation they enforce prevents artists from engaging in any North American festival activities between December 15 and May 1. This also extends to specific counties in California, such as Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Santa Barbara, Ventura, and San Diego during the same period.

Loyal to Ye

Despite some mixed reception, Ty Dolla $ign continues to perform alongside the 46-year-old "Donda" rapper at various events to promote their latest album, which includes listening parties.

Following backlash from festival attendees, the duo decided to cancel multiple upcoming events. This came after their headline set at Rolling Loud in Inglewood, California, was met with disappointment for not performing live.

Appearing on stage in their signature black outfits and iconic masks, they treated the crowd to a rendition of their latest record for an entire hour, opting not to showcase any new songs. In the face of criticism, Ty remains steadfast in his support of West following the triumph of their collaborative album.

The two were even spotted mingling at West's birthday bash in Los Angeles. The rapper marked his 42nd birthday with a gathering at the famous venue Nice Guy in West Hollywood, joined by his wife Bianca Censori and a circle of close friends.
