In 1932 Peg Entwistle was already a star on Broadway and had enjoyed plum roles in such hit plays as The Uninvited Guest and The Wild Duck. She was working on launching a film career when her marriage to Robert Keith came to an end after only two years due to charges of cruelty. She also was reportedly devastated to learn that Keith had been married before and had hidden his son, Brian Keith from her. Before Peg's first and only film, Thirteen Women, made it to the silver screen, the actress took her own life by jumping from the H of the Hollywood sign. Now Hollywood is ready to tell her story.

A hiker found Peg Entwistle's body on Sept. 18, 1932 at the base of the Hollywood sign with a note in her purse which read,

"I am afraid, I am a coward. I am sorry for everything. If I had done this a long time ago, it would have saved a lot of pain. P.E."

Arthur Sarkissian and writer-director Tony Kaye have decided to team up to bring the actress' story to life. Sarkissian has said that this film will be done in the vein of Hitchcock's old classic Vertigo because that edgy style of story telling will work quite well with the twists and turns of Peg's life.

Ironically, the stepson that was kept a secret later turned into a prominent Hollywood actor himself. Brian Keith really rose to fame while appearing as the father on Family Affair beside Sebastian Cabot back in the 1970's.
