Barbra Streisand may be a musical legend, on pace to debut at No. 1 in the U.S. with her new album Partners, but she's seemingly no match for rock band The Script. Following the release and overseas success of its single "Superheroes," The Script's new album No Sound Without Silence has debuted at No. 1 in the U.K.

According to The Official Charts Company, No Sound Without Silence is one of six new albums in the top 10 this week, a marker of the heavy fourth quarter release date schedule around the world. The Script's album debuts ahead of Streisand's Partners, which arrived at No. 2 on the album charts. Despite high profile guests such as Billy Joel, John Legend, Blake Shelton and even Elvis Presley, she couldn't quite stand up to the U.K.'s long love of alternative rock.

Other new albums in the top 10 overseas include Chris Brown's newest album X (No. 4), Slash's latest solo venture World on Fire (No. 8), Train's Bulletproof Picasso (No. 9) and folk rockers Catfish & The Bottlemen's album The Balcony, which closes things out at No. 10.

Those albums were complimented with some longstanding U.K. bestsellers, including Ed Sheeran's x and Sam Smith's In The Lonely Hour.
