The powers-that-be over at World Wrestling Entertainment have to be happy with how the series Total Divas is performing on the E! network. A few episodes into the third season, the show has managed to hold its own against NBC's Sunday Night Football and even went up against WWE's Night of Champions pay-per-view with decent ratings.

Unfortunately, behind the scenes there have been reports of a bit of a power struggle in the WWE empire, and the direction of Total Divas seems to be directly affected.

Vince McMahon and Triple H — real name Paul Levesque — are at odds over executive creative decisions, and Triple H's wife Stephanie McMahon is also tangled in the chaos.

Part of the success of Total Divas is the fact that it focuses on the personal lives of WWE's female wrestlers, collectively called "Divas," such as The Bella Twins. Fans seem to love getting to see an inside glimpse of how these ladies interact outside of the ring, not to mention the details of their love lives.

Vince McMahon has reportedly made rules for the show but then changes his mind completely. As of now, no one starring on Total Divas can hold the WWE Divas Championship. Sources say he can change his mind at any point in time, which causes issues:

"There has been booking frustration regarding Total Divas. Vince reportedly goes through phases where he wants the [WWE Monday NightRaw storylines to sync with Total Divas. However, Total Divas is taped so far in advance and there are communication issues as to what content airs when and it's not always possible to have everything on the same page."

It kind of sounds like everyone needs to put their heads together to come up with some creative ideas they can make stick, don't you think? The show is doing well for now, but creative differences are often at the root of projects completely falling apart. Have you tuned into the new season of Total Divas? What are your thoughts on the show and the ladies who are featured?
