Famed psychedelic rockers Pink Floyd are gearing up to release their new album The Endless River, the group's first since 1994's The Division Bell. It's set to drop this coming Nov. 10. And now, NME reports that guitarist David Gilmour has called it both "emotional" and "evocative."

Gilmour made the comments in the new issue of Uncut. Speaking of The Endless River, he notes, "When we finished The Division Bell sessions, we had many pieces of music, only nine of which had become songs on the LP."

He continued, "Now with Rick [Wright] gone and with him the chance of ever doing it again, it feels right these revisited tracks should be made available as part of our repertoire."

The guitarist then adds that The Endless River is a "tribute" to the band's keyboardist Richard Wright, who passed away back in 2008 at the age of 65 from an undisclosed form of cancer. "I mean, to me, it's very evocative and emotional in a lot of moments. And listening to all the stuff made me regret his passing all over again. This is the last chance someone will get to hear him playing along with us on that way he did."

The band recently unveiled some more details on the record, which Music Times reported.
