Back in July, Childish Gambino called out to his peers Kendrick Lamar, Drake, & Schoolboy Q. "I'm the best rapper, definitely Top 5," rapped Gambino. "I'll cut their head off. That's every rapper living. That's Kendrick. That's Drake. That's Schoolboy. That's everyone. I don't give a f**k. I'll f**king kill you n***as."
Earlier this month, Gambino explained why he targeted those rappers. He told The Breakfast Club, "I feel that way. That's my truth. I said those rappers in particular because I feel like they're the best. I'm sure they're fine with it... Kendrick is fine with it... Drake is probably not taking it great, but I know the TDE guys. They'd understand. They're one of the realest dudes in Hip Hop. They understand it. We're in competition."
Now Schoolboy Q has responded Gambino throwing shots at him in an interview with Montreality (via AllHipHop). He seems to be echoing Gambino's sentiments, and isn't taking the insult to heart.
"Gambino throwing shots? I ain't tripping. I f**k with Gambino," he said. "It was a freestyle. He probably didn't even mean to say that. I ain't tripping. That's cool."
Looks like all is well between the two rappers.
