After surprising everyone yesterday with the release of the experimental, seven-minute "Blue Ocean," Jaden Smith has shared yet another track from his upcoming mixtape Cool Tape Vol. 2. "Trophy" takes a more traditional, hip-hop approach than "Blue Ocean," with Jaden rapping over a simple, repetitive beat that finishes up after just two minutes. His flow needs a little work, but this is promising stuff, especially considering that he is just 16.

Cool Tape Vol. 2 will be Jaden's second mixtape, following The Cool Café: The Cool Tape Vol. 1, which was released in October 2012. Cool Tape Vol. 2 has not yet been given a release date. Jaden's first mixtape spawned four singles: "Pumped Up Kicks (Like Me)"; "The Coolest"; "Find You Somewhere," featuring AcE and sister Willow Smith; and "Hello."

Some of Jaden’s non-album singles since 2012 include "Flame (Just Cuz)"; "Give It to 'Em"; "Gonzoes"; "Starry Room"; "Shakespeare"; "Higher Up," featuring Kid Cudi; "Kite, featuring Willow; and "MSFTS Anthem 2."

Though he seems to be taking his music career more seriously with the release of these two new songs, Jaden is perhaps more well-known for his acting career — he is the son of Will Smith, in case you did not know. His most recent film was 2013’s After Earth, in which he co-starred with his father.
