Wu-Tang Clan's 20th anniversary is slowly approaching, so to commemorate the occasion the legendary hip-hop collective is releasing their new 2014 album A Better Tomorrow through a limited-edition portable speaker, which will be available for purchase at Boombotix and Zumiez.

According to Vibe, the wearable speaker will stream eight songs from the album, including a bonus track. RZA is reportedly behind the operation.

"I had the idea pop up into my head, for a while, about music being kind of disconnected to us. Of being so digitized and accessible, but yet not tangible," he said. "... But this thing here, a tangible item, like your old Walkman or your old cassette, or your old record, that's what this is bringing back."

RZA believes the digital age has changed the importance and value of owning a physical copy of music — something he hopes this album will change.

"There's something transcendent about being able to physically hold music," RZA said. "Back in the day, holding a vinyl helped you appreciate just how much time and sweat goes into creating a single track, let alone an entire album. Over the last decade, we've lost that sensation. With this project, we hope to strengthen the bond between fan and artist. Boombotix puts the music back in your hands so you can stay connected to your favorite artists wherever you go."

The Wu speaker is a limited release with only 3,000 units being sold. One thousand speakers will be sold on boombotix.com and the other 2,000 at clothing/skate store Zumiez.

Speakers are currently available for pre-order for $79.99 before their release in November.
