Dylan Mulvaney is opening up about a deeply personal moment that happened just before she stepped on stage in Broadway's "Six," sharing that she went through a breakup on the same day as a live performance.

The 29-year-old content creator revealed the emotional update in a TikTok video filmed backstage during a recent show, giving fans a raw look at life behind the curtain.

In the video, Mulvaney spoke directly to the camera while preparing to perform as Anne Boleyn in the hit musical, People reported. Even as castmates could be heard singing in the background, she calmly shared her news.

"I got broken up with today," she said, before quickly adding reassurance about her mindset. "But I feel really good about it. It's for the best," she said with a light laugh, showing a surprising sense of calm before heading onstage.

Despite the personal setback, Mulvaney didn't step away from her role. The clip shows her transitioning from backstage reflection to full stage energy, stepping into character as the show continued. She later explained in her caption that the video was originally meant for close friends but felt too meaningful not to share publicly.

According to Yahoo, Mulvaney, who joined "Six" earlier this year, has often documented her experience performing on Broadway while navigating life as a trans performer in the theatre world.

She has spoken before about the challenges and unique moments she has faced since joining the production, including how rare it still is for trans actors to step into major roles in long-running Broadway shows.

In earlier reflections, she has described her time in "Six" as both exciting and eye-opening, noting how the industry is slowly changing. She has also said that the support from the show's team gave her a chance to bring her own perspective to the character, something she believes adds depth to the performance.

Even during personal struggles, Mulvaney has continued to emphasize resilience and growth. She has shared that some days are harder than others, but performing helps her stay grounded.
