David Guetta promised a new single this week, and it seems as though the EDM juggernaut has followed through. Yesterday (Oct. 6), Guetta released his new single "Dangerous" featuring Sam Martin ahead of his new album Listen.

"Dangerous" is a modern pop song with spacey musical themes, reflected in the track's lyric video. The twinkling synthesizers add to a driving momentum, creating a major sense of build up and epic urgency.

The song's immediate kick off, comprised of an Evanescence-like piano riff and a swell of stringed instruments, helps to set the song's dramatic theme.

"Dangerous" seems to tell the lyrical story of an impending relationship and all the urgency and intensity that can lead to two people finally coming together.

"I don't know where the lights are taking us / But something in the night is dangerous / And nothing's holding back the two of us / Baby, this is getting serious / D-d-d-d-dangerous," Martin sings in the explosive chorus.

"Dangerous" is the lead single from Guetta's forthcoming sixth studio album Listen. Listen, the immediate follow-up to Guetta's 2011 album Nothing But The Beat, will be released on Nov. 24.

Specific details surrounding Listen, including a tracklist and album cover as well as additional guest musicians, will be unveiled in the coming weeks.
