The Shady XV compilation album is on its way, and today (Oct. 13), Eminem logged onto his rarely utilized Instagram page to unveil the album artwork.

For the career-spanning compilation album, which will feature new and old music from Eminem and his current and former labelmates (50 Cent, Yelawolf, D12), the "Guts Over Fear" rapper is going back to his roots.

"Back to basics! Here's the cover for #SHADYXV out 11/24," Eminem wrote while revealing the spooky album artwork. The silent, slow motion Instagram video features the Shady Records boss unveiling the spooky cover artwork, all while flipping of the camera in a very subtle way, because it is Eminem after all.

The album cover features a black background and an intimidating-looking hockey mask with two crossed chainsaws. As Radio.com points out, the album cover seems to be an homage to Eminem's earliest performances, where he would come onstage wearing a hockey mask and wielding a chainsaw.

Fitting for a two-disco music retrospective...

Shady XV will be released on Black Friday, Nov. 26, to kick off your holiday shopping season with a hip-hop edge.

Specific details around the release remain tightly under wraps, though it is confirmed that old and new music from Shady Records acts will appear on the two-disc LP. The album is currently being led by the Eminem and Sia single "Guts Over Fear," which first debuted in the trailer for the movie The Equalizer.
