Rihanna, Eminem and Bruce Springsteen are among the headlining acts for HBO's "Concert for Valor" in Washington, D.C., which is set to air live at 7 p.m. EST on Veteran's Day, November 11, Rolling Stone reports. The concert's other headliners include Carrie Underwood, Dave Grohl (but not Foo Fighters?), Metallica and the Zac Brown Band.

"The Concert for Valor will provide a national stage for ensuring that veterans and their families know that their fellow Americans' gratitude is genuine," said HBO in a statement. "Millions of people, including veterans, active duty service members, their families and Americans from all walks of life are expected to watch the free concert in person or on television, with the goal of raising awareness for veterans service organizations dedicated to education, wellness, reemployment and reintegration."

Actor Tom Hanks is serving as the special's executive producer, and will also be making an appearance at the concert. Other celebrities who are scheduled to appear include Meryl Streep, Steven Spielberg, Jamie Foxx and John Oliver.

Rolling Stone points out that the live concert special will be available to all cable customers, and not just those who subscribe to HBO.

"We are honored to play a small role to help raise awareness and support for our service men and women," said HBO chairman and CEO Richard Plepler. "Their immeasurable sacrifice deserves our nation's gratitude. This event will not only celebrate their service, but help remind Americans of the many challenges they face on and off the battlefield."
