Stop us if you've heard this one before: Garth Brooks knows a thing or two about making a buck. That trend continues this week as the resurgent country star has broken his own record for most tickets sold for a one-city concert run (according to The Boot). Again.

Brooks has sold more than 188,000 tickets for his 11-day run of shows at the Target Center in Minneapolis, which begins on November 6. It's payback for the populace of the city, who saw its record-set by Brooks at the Target Center during 1998, when he sold nearly 163,000 tickets for his concert run at the venue-fall when the icon announced the opening leg of his comeback tour, which consisted of 11 shows at Chicago's Allstate Arena. That concert run ended up selling more than 180,000 seats and Minnesota just had to save face. No word on whether Brooks is even done adding dates to the Minnesota leg yet. He's been playing two shows on some dates so it's entirely possible he could continue to double up if the money's there.

At the same time, Brooks continues to add venues and cities to his still expanding tour. St. Louis became the newest addition to the run when he announced that he'll be playing at least two shows at the Scottrade Center during the first week of December. That's picking up where he left off last week with two shows announced for the Greensboro Coliseum in North Carolina. He's only announced two dates for Greensboro so far but there's a two week gap between that city and St. Louis so we could be seeing new dates soon.
