It looks like POP's new series Queens of Drama is ready to pull out all the stops to make sure soap fans young and old will decide to tune in. Producers had already stacked the deck with such talent as Vanessa Marcil, Donna Mills and Hunter Tylo when it was announced that Joan Collins will also be included in an episode. Dynasty fans still bow at Collins's feet for helping to propel primetime soaps into the mainstream.

Queens of Drama is a docu-series featuring daytime and primetime soap stars as they put their talents together in an attempt to produce a new primetime serial drama to eventually star in. The cast of soap favorites will need to work in front of and behind the cameras to develop, pitch and produce this new steamy series.

Basically, it is beginning as a reality show that will hopefully turn into a legitimate pilot deal. If the premise works, then fans will get to watch some of their favorite ladies working in real life on a project that could ensure them a new gig in daytime as well.

In other words, everyone just might win.

The Wrap first confirmed that Collins will appear in an episode of Queens of Drama, and they also snagged the first exclusive photo of her working with Mills onset. This series is set to begin airing on POP early next year as part of TV Guide Network's official rebranding campaign.

Do you think this show has a chance of making it? While it is not going to be on a major network, it is going to cater to a genre with active and vocal fans.

How cool is it that Collins is going to return to television for this docu-series? It seems the perfect vehicle for her to be included in, don't you agree?
