Willow Smith turned 14 years old today. In celebration, she gave away a new EP to her fans to download for free. The three-song EP, aptly titled 3, was mostly produced by AzZi features a guest appearance from SZA on the song "9." Smith partnered with Google Play to release the effort, which you can download here. However, the EP will hit online retailers on Nov. 17 and come with a price tag, according to Radio.com.

Yesterday, Smith dropped the song "Cares" on her SoundCloud, which featured her on the drums.

The Roc Nation singer's recent work has been more in the minimalist soul/R&B vein than the poppy direction she took back on "Whip My Hair." She has definitely matured in musical taste, even at her young age, and has been specifically inspired by her favorite Erykah Badu.

"I don't think it's that different from what I was saying before, 'cause I was saying 'Love yourself' and 'You have to live your life for yourself,'" Willow told The FADER about the EP. "Now I'm just coming to the spiritual and consciousness aspects of it. My lyrics are probably what's gonna be packing the most punch, and my tracks are in the background just coolin' it, like, 'Hear what she just said?'"

Willow's brother Jaden has also been prolific in the music game lately. He's recently dropped a string of songs on SoundCloud; many of them feature Willow accompanying him on backing vocals. His latest releases are "Jetskis" and "Blue Ocean."
