Taylor Swift is holding on strong to the No. 1 spot in the country with 1989, and it seems like nothing can "Shake It Off." In the two weeks since its release, Swift's new album has surpassed platinum status and topped the Billboard 200, and she's looking to come in first for a third week, beating out new releases like Foo Fighters' Sonic Highways and Garth Brooks' Man Against Machine.

Led by singles "Shake It Off" and "Blank Space," 1989 sold 1.2 million copies in its first week and 402,000 in its second. Though 1989 is aiming to slow down a bit with album sales next week, it will still top the charts. According to Billboard, 1989 is projected to sell up to 300,000 copies in its third week.

Even over 21 days after its release date, the first bona fide Swift pop album will still outsell other major music acts, like Pink Floyd, Nick Jonas and the previously mentioned Foo Fighters and Brooks.

If it were any other release season, Foo Fighters, Pink Floyd or Brooks would easily top the Billboard 200.

Foo Fighters' Sonic Highways is aiming for the No. 2 spot in the U.S., with an expected 190,000 copies.

Pink Floyd, with its first album in 20 years The Endless River, is looking at No. 3 with 150,000 units sold. Another artist returning to the scene, country's Brooks is looking at 125,000 copies of his new album Man Against Machine.
