BET's music variety show 106 & Park will air its final episode on Dec. 19. The show, currently hosted by Bow Wow and Keshia Chante, has been on TV for 14 years, counting down some of the hottest music videos of the new millennium. According to the network, the show will live on in some capacity with its New Year's Eve 106 & PARTY and BET Awards specials.

106 & Park aired its first episode in 2000, becoming an instant authority on what's popular in the hip-hop and R&B genres. Since then, the program has gone through a slew of hosting pairs including AJ and Free (2000 to 2005); Julissa and Big Tigger (2005 to 2006); Terrence J and Rocsi (2006 to 2012); Bow Wow and The Search (2012 to 2013); and Bow Wow and Chante since last year.

Stephen Hill, the network's president of music programming and specials, shared his thoughts about the show in a statement.

"We all have our favorite moments from the show that has put youth culture on television daily since the first year of this century," he wrote. "We have pride in being involved with the show that has welcomed almost every movie star, music superstar and fresh-faced talent you can name (you can even throw in a first lady). We've all laughed with and been entertained by the young men and women hosts that have charmed us at 6 p.m. (and more recently 5 p.m.) each weekday."

The show featured a variety of guests including First Lady Michelle Obama, actress Halle Berry and New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz.

In 2008, 106 & Park's pop counterpart, MTV's Total Request Live, also went off the air.
