Love & Hip Hop Hollywood would be really boring if everyone kept their noses clean, right? I am sure VH1 runs like a well-oiled machine on that belief, so every time one of its stars catches a negative headline, the execs must see extra dollar signs. This time around, it is Moniece Slaughter who is making waves. Sure, she has been known to have some violent tendencies on camera, but now an ex is accusing Slaughter of bilking him out of $109,000.

According to a report by TMZ, former NBA star Joe Smith has filed a police report alleging that Slaughter wrote nine checks between October 2011 and March 2012 to a man named Timothy Clayton Carr. Smith claims not to know Carr and says he never wrote the checks either. Carr claims he cashed the checks for Slaughter because she said she did not have a bank account to do so herself. At least, that is what he told police in June 2012. Carr also claims not to have known that there was any issue at all until the final check he cashed for Slaughter ended up being canceled.

Slaughter supposedly agreed to reimburse Carr for the final check but disappeared instead. She also told police that Smith knew all about the checks, wrote them himself and only stopped payment on the last one because they had broken up. Smith supposedly is furious because 2 1/2 years later and the Manhattan Beach Police Department still has never taken any action against Slaughter.

What are your thoughts on this one? Do you think Smith was cool with giving her the money until they split? Did this $109,000 help get Slaughter's sex toy business off the ground? If you are a fan of the show, then you already know Slaughter is always looking for someone to bankroll her business! Is she guilty in this case? Comment below.
