There's a while to go yet before George Strait hits the road on his "Cowboy Rides Away" tour...more than three months in fact. But tickets are going to be going on sale for most venues fairly soon, and if fans plan on getting seats they should be ready to buy early. Only one date, his February 8 show at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, has gone gone on sale and it sold out in nine minutes.

Needless to say, tickets are going to be tough to get for any of the venues involved. Strait's team is making it similarly difficult to figure out who the openers for each are: In order to find out, fans have to go to the country star's website, click a button to tweet about the date of their choice or share it on Facebook. When the date gets enough hits, the opener will be revealed. Although country fans are eager to get their hands on Strait's tickets when they become available, they're still a little slow on the social media, as less than half of the opening acts have been revealed.

Those that are available for viewing indicate an all-star lineup however. For your consideration:

01/10 Austin, TX: Jason Aldean

01/17 Omaha, NE: Eric Church

01/31 San Diego, CA: Miranda Lambert

02/7 Phoenix, AZ: Martina McBride

02/8 Los Angeles, CA: Martina McBride

02/14 Auburn Hills, MI: Little Big Town

02/15 Columbus, OH: Little Big Town

02/28 Philadelphia, PA: Martina McBride

03/1 Newark, NJ: Martina McBride

03/8 Chicago, Ill: Vince Gill

03/22 Atlanta, GA: Sheryl Crow

04/5 Denver, CO: Leanne Womack and Merle Haggard

04/11 Portland, OR: Chris Young

04/18: Des Moines, IA: Ronnie Dunn

And those are just the dates with openers that've been announced so far. One thing's for sure: If Strait opts to pull the early-return-from-retirement card a la Jay Z, he'll probably regret all the meticulous planning that went into this tour. If this is his final rodeo however, it'll be well worth it.
