Experimental hip-hop group, Death Grips, may have broken up earlier this year, but news continues to emerge about their music. On Black Friday, the group decided to release a special edition vinyl version of their third album, Government Plates. A Reddit user posted the picture online of the liner notes for the fifth song on the album, "Birds," revealing that Twilight star, Robert Pattinson, played guitar on the track.

According to Pitchfork, drummer Zach Hill recorded Pattinson's guitar on his iPhone and the band sampled the iPhone recording on "Birds."

The relationship between Pattinson and the Death Grips has some history. They posed together for a photo at a Beyoncé concert with the "Drunk in Love" singer last July after attending it. You can watch the paparazzi video of them walking to the concert together. There was also an unconfirmed rumor going around last year that Death Grips had directed a short film that was going to star Pattinson. The band later refuted it.

Pattinson is now reportedly dating Tahliah Barnett, aka FKA Twigs. The relationship is reportedly growing stronger, so maybe she will take that next step and let him strum a few notes on a track of hers.

Death Grips broke up this summer announcing it in the most Death Grips fashion; via a photo of a napkin announcing their decision posted to Facebook. It isn't surprising given their past of canceling shows and very public quarrels with labels.

Fans still await their presumably final album, The Powers that B, which according to a Facebook post in October (via Pigeons and Planes), is done and ready to be released this year.
