Many artists are getting into the holiday spirit and Wale is joining the party. Taking a slightly different approach to the holiday season, Wale is calling up a familiar influence of his, the incredibly popular '90s sitcom Seinfeld. In a short teaser clip, Wale previews what is to be a new project dropping on Dec. 23 with Canadian DJ/producer A-Trak titled "Festivus." Wale does not give any hints at what the project is, if it might be a mixtape, a video or just a song, but either way, fans should expect new Wale music very soon.

Wale's infatuation with Seinfeld has been well documented over several years. He released a special Seinfeld inspired mixtape The Mixtape About Nothing, back in 2008 that featured lines and jokes about specific moments in the show. He released a second mixtape shortly thereafter in 2010 titled More About Nothing, also inspired by the comedian's show. The pair is working on the follow up to More About Nothing, titled The Album About Nothing, but no final release date has been announced.

Last month, Wale and Jerry Seinfeld sat down with Complex to discuss among other things the album and Seinfeld spoke about his gratitude for being involved in the project.

"He asked me to be part of it and talk. It's his gift, I'm just a bystander. I love being around him and watching how he does it because it's different from what I do. It's a whole different process."

Wale spoke fondly for Seinfeld and his impact on his music.

"I'm funneling his wisdom. I talk to Jerry and I listen. Then I go to the studio and capture those moments. What do I agree with? Am I conveying this message to a broader audience? It's like a writing drill. Jerry talks in metaphor a lot. When "this" is like "that," it's easy for everybody to understand."

The famed Seinfeld holiday Festivus will take place on Dec. 23 so be ready for the new Wale music then.

See More Wale, Seinfeld
