Between the Buried and Me will be back with a seventh album in 2015. The band announced as much in a recent social media post, which came a few months after they dropped a new live DVD.

"In two more weeks we will be reuniting with the master, Jamie King, to record our seventh full-length album together," the note read. "Until then, enjoy the holidays!"

This will be the follow-up to 2012's The Parallax II: Future Sequence, and it's expected by the middle of 2015 via Metal Blade Records (Team Rock).

Lead singer Thomas Giles released a solo album, Modern Noise, this fall. It was the second album under that name for the 34-year-old -- he's released LPs as Giles and with Jacob Rogers, Prayer for Cleansing and From Here On in the past.

"For me it's fun to step outside what you normally do," he told Metal Wani. "This keeps you creative and in the end helps you as a musician. You learn about yourself when you write solo material. I just like the idea of creating a song with a very simple song structure and focusing heavily on melody. BTBAM is a much more involved process. I wouldn't change anything about either project."

He also discussed the new DVD, Future Sequence, which features the band playing live in the studio.

"We filmed/recorded in a day so it flew by," Giles said. "Way too much work for one day. It was weird playing without a crowd, but we just treated it like we would playing together at rehearsal. Was a unique experience and at this point in our careers it's nice to have that."
